Everyday Doha ... and things #1

Decorated Alley

Decorated Alley

As someone who's number one passion is street (and related) photography, Qatar is a comparatively uninspiring place to be stuck in, but thankfully there are a few spots around where some interesting street activities and characters can be found. Therefore some quick, short posts like this seems appropriate from time-to-time to show some work that will not necessarily make it to the main sections of this website.

Despite repeated visits to the obvious hunting grounds, I also consciously try to force myself to recognize the less obvious "charms" of Qatar and Doha's generally bland, uninspiring scenery. There will certainly be a photo series evolving from that exploration, but I'm still working on defining my approach to it. In the meantime, some more street shots from recent outings - kind off a visual diary or behind-the-scenes look at what makes the streets tick in Doha.
